Adjunct Professor receives the “Pamana ng Pilipino” Award

Adjunct Professor Guillermo 'Bill' Capati from the University of Queensland’s Advanced Water Management Centre has been conferred an award by the President of the Philippines.

The President conferred the “Pamana ng Pilipino” Award to Guillermo (Bill) Capati of Australia. This award is conferred on Filipinos overseas, who, in exemplifying the talent and industry of the Filipino, have brought the country honour and recognition through excellence and distinction in the pursuit of their work or profession.

In conferring the Award to Adjunct Professor Bill Capati, the President recognized his exemplary leadership and achievements in water and wastewater management and his outstanding public service and contribution to the City of Gold Coast, Australia, and to the Philippine Motherland.

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte honoured 23 distinguished and outstanding overseas Filipinos and foreign-based organizations from 11 countries during the Awarding Ceremonies for the 2016 Presidential Awards for Filipino Individuals and Organizations Overseas on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Malacañan Palace, Philippines.
