The Advanced Water Management Centre has been announced as a Finalist in the 28th Annual Banksia Foundation Awards in the Environment Ministers' Award for a Cleaner Environment - Science & Research Category.

This award, sponsored by the Australian Government, Department of Environment and Energy, recognises Australians for their commitment to science and research in the national effort to protect and care for Australia’s environment.

“I commend the finalists on their vision, outcomes and commitment to not just sustainable development but industrywide transformation. It is heartening to read about these incredible projects and I urge everyone to join us at the Banksia Awards to be inspired by our finalists’ success stories and to celebrate our winners.” said Graz van Egmond, CEO, Banksia Foundation.

Each of Banksia’s Finalists will present a Ted Talk at the 28th annual Banksia Sustainability Awards on Wednesday 30th November at the University of Sydney as part of SDGA16.

The Banksia Foundation is a well-established not-for-profit organisation dedicated to working with industry and community to create an array of platforms to focus attention on the recognition of  excellence in sustainability.

The Banksia Foundation was founded in 1989 by a diverse group of 44 Australians who shared a common goal to do more to support and recognise members of the community for their positive contribution to the environment.
