AWMC Seminar Program: PFAS in the water cycle

Perfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) are manmade manufactured compounds present in a wide range of consumer products such as non-sticky cookware, waterproofing treatments in outdoor clothing and fabric. The last couple of years, they have been highly present in newspaper headlines in Australia and the USA due to their presence in drinking water. But what are PFASs? How did they get there? How can we remove them? This seminar aims to answer those questions and hopefully more!

AWMC hosts a free seminar every Friday from 9am.
