AWMC Seminar Program: Sustainable Development Goals Impact on Water Industry

The UQ Sustainable Water Program’s Dr Nina Hall will explore the Sustainable Development Goals for water and sanitation, examining their implications and operationalisation in the Australian water sector. She will provide a quick overview and history, guidance on how to consider and action the Goals, and a current snapshot of their relevance and contribution to water management.

Dr Nina Lansbury Hall manages the Sustainable Water program at the Global Change Institute of The University of Queensland (UQ), with the aim of catalysing transdisciplinary projects to respond to complex issues around the sustainable and integrated development, management and use of water resources with social, environmental and economic considerations. She also contributes to GCI’s work on renewable energy solutions from a societal acceptance perspective. In addition, Nina is involved in communicating research findings into policy-relevant outcomes with stakeholders, which includes community engagement, behaviour change and policy analysis, and to building capacity of research organisations to enhance their engagement with policymakers.
