AWMC Seminar Program: Urban water security – What does it mean?

Water security has been described as one of the defining challenges of our time. Severe environmental, social and economic impacts have been suffered during recent extreme droughts affecting all types of urban communities across the world. Yet, there is no common understanding of the language, particularly in the urban context.  The presentation will provide some background on global thinking on water security and urban water security, an example of urban water security crises through the SEQ Millennium Drought experience, and then provide some findings from my research project.
