The University of Queensland's Advanced Water Management Centre, along with MLA and EBCRC have successfully piloted waste management technology, officially opening the Biosolds Demonstration Plant at Teys Bros. Abattoir, Beenleigh on Friday 25th February 2011.

The Next Generation Solids Stabilisation project commercialises research waste management into a packaged treatment plant to produce safe, easy to handle organic fertiliser from sewage and food processing biosolids, while producing excess electricity.
