Brisbane Urban Water Forum

It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to the
Advanced Water Management Centre’s Urban Water Forum in Brisbane.

The recent water and energy crisis has brought about a major change in many aspects of the water industry.
The shift towards a true urban water cycle, both at local and regional scale, poses numerous challenges and opportunities for the water industry as a whole.

The Advanced Water Management Centre at The University of Queensland has a vast expertise base in its research team, with an outstanding track record of successful research, development and application projects, many in close collaboration with industry and research collaborators.

The Urban Water Forum aims to discuss the outcomes of the world class research being conducted at the AWMC, explore the on-ground challenges facing our urban focused partners and to define key research priorities that can help provide solutions.

The forum will cover a number of themes from the AWMC research portfolio including;

  • Sewer Corrosion and Odour

  • Next Generation Technologies

  • Integrated Urban Water Management

  • Sustainable Resource Recovery

  • Environmental/Industrial Biotechnology

  • Water, Health & Environment
