Mr Qilin Wang wins Huber Technology Prize

Friday, 19 September 2014

Doctoral student, Mr Qilin Wang, has been awarded a prize in the 2014 Huber Technology – Doctoral Researchers Prize.

The Huber Technology Prizes recognise young researchers and students who are changing wastewater research to benefit the environment. This year the Huber Prizes had a focus on resources and energy from wastewater. Qilin’s work on “Enhancing energy recovery from wastewater using a novel free nitrous acid-based technology”, is an innovative approach to improving the energy balance across treatment plants.

In the official ceremony at the Berching town hall in Germany, the Bavarian Environment Minister Dr. Marcel Huber, announced the four winners from across the globe, showing that the sustainability of our wastewater treatment plants is a global problem.
